“ Fantastic French brasserie style. We followed the suggestions of the host of sharing plates and main dishes including the pigs head. Lovely wines to accompany our meal. ”
“ First time dining at Camille and we had an amazing experience! A real highlight was the schnitzel and crab bisque. Also shout out to the staff who made us feel super welcome and were very knowledgeable. ”
“ An absolute hidden gem, hiding in plain sight on the edge of Borough Market, this is an amazing little restaurant. Approx 30 covers if you include outside, it's got ambience, it's got that cosy feel too. Service is great, with good knowledge of the dishes and what combinations work. The 4 of us mixed business talk with idle chat and let the afternoon pass by, we weren't rushed at all. The amenities are of a high standard, it's just inside the market so expect no parking , I recommend you book in advance. ”

“ Had a fantastic dinner at Camille - food was decadent and delicious, the variety of small plates means we got to try a lot of different dishes and there wasn’t a bad dish amongst them. Will definitely be back! ”
“ We wandered in here after a hospital appointment at Guys, I have been meaning to visit for a while, we were dog free for the day, so it was a perfect opportunity and what a treat it was. Lovely relaxed and engaging service from the young team and the food was out of this world. In the last few months we have visited Trinity, Brutto and Agora and all have been great in their own way but in my opinion the food here was the tastiest, certainly to my palette. We shared the Hake with beef fat and horseradish along with Lambs heart with peas and ewe’s curd, this was followed by a Duroc white pork chop with prawn head Americaine (truly epic), a green salad with Spenwood, some nice bread and a great bottle of house Jurancon, we finished with strawberries, sheep’s yogurt and blackcurrant leaf (summer on a plate). The portions were very generous and there were some great offers on for lunch. We loved it and look forward to returning. ”
“ Loved the food, ambience and service here! Such a good little bistro in Borough market - transporting you to regional France. Food was delish as well - get the lamb sweetbreads, they are amazing! ”
“ Fantastic French food right in the entrance of borough market. Was initially skeptical reviewing the menu (the menu structure reads more like a grocery list) but the depth of flavor in each dish was astounding. We tried the sourdough, the brown butter hake special, red mullet with chorizo, stuffed quail with bacon, mutton with little gem, potato pave and sweet cicely and goat milk brulee. For the fish dishes, we were literally eating the sauce with a spoon. The garlic brown butter and the smoky chorizo sauces were incredible. The quail with bacon and berries was the perfect mix of sweet and savory, the mutton was beautifully rare and tender, and the creme brulee was both creamy and delicate. We got the famed potato side dish which had a nice dijon aioli, but Camille’s creativity and skill were much better showcased by the main dishes. Great wine list as well, loved the dry Juracon 2022 (first white available by the glass) and partner greatly enjoyed his orange wine. An absolute gem and must visit for fans of French food— highly recommend booking in advance. ”
